Overview
This Low Carbon and Hydrogen Technology program at University Kebangsaan Malaysia aims to produce graduates with understanding on the concept and theoretical basis of fuel cell, fuel cell application, fuel cell characterization and performances analysis, hydrogen technology, energy management and energy policy. The graduates also are expected carry out good research during the course of studies.
Program Learning Outcomes
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of advanced theories and methods of engineering and science to solve complex problems in the field of low carbon technology, hydrogen energy as well as energy management and policy.
- Ability to analyze, evaluate and solve complex problems using scientific skill and critical thinking in the field of low carbon technology, hydrogen energy as well as energy management and policy.
- Ability to apply practical skills and empower competitiveness in the field of low carbon technology, hydrogen energy as well as energy management and policy.
- Ability to connect ideas and issues related to society and the environment as well as communicate information or ideas professionally.
- Ability to use information technology or digital technology and numerical skills competently to support assignments, projects, and learning.
- Ability to lead and work collaboratively as part of a team that carries out a variety of different roles and is responsible while carrying out various activities towards colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to master personal skills and demonstrate entrepreneurship characteristics through self-learning and self-development.
- Able to perform assignments, projects, and various activities responsibly, adhere to the valid code of conduct, high integrity, ethics, and professionalism.

General requirements
A person who wishes to apply for admission to the Doctorate programme shall possess the following qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree by obtaining a good Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) from a University or any institution of higher learning recognized by the Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA) and/ or having accreditation recognized by foreign Accreditation Body, or institution who has accreditation as prescribed by a programme;
- Doctor of Medicine degree or Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University or any institution of higher learning or an equivalent degree from any institution of higher learning recognized by the Senate;
- any other requirements recognized by the Senate obtained through the Accreditation pf Prior Experiential Learning (APEL);
- fulfils other requirements prescribed by the programme (if applicable); and
- fulfils requirements of the Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA)
