Overview

The Department of Pathology is one of the departments in the UKM Faculty of Medicine that has achieved excellence in education, research and service. Apart from teaching and learning as well as clinical expertise in the field of pathology, the department is also proactive in research for each discipline and has obtained a high amount of research grant funds whether internal or external grants. Grants obtained by academic staff are able to accommodate prospective graduate students in the department.

Goals of the Pathology (Anatomic Pathology) program at University Kebangsaan Malaysia

General requirements

A person who intends to apply for a master’s programme should have the following Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree by obtaining a good Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) from a University or any institution of higher learning recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and/ or having accreditation recognized by a foreign Accreditation Body, or institution who has accreditation as prescribed by a programme;
Doctor of Medicine degree or Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University or any institution of higher learning or an equivalent degree from any institutions of higher learning recognised by the Senate;
any other qualification recognised by the Senate obtained through the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL);
fulfils other requirements prescribed by the programme (if applicable) and
fulfils requirements of the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA)
