The Study of Religion degree at MF Norwegian School of Theology Religion is the global and comparative, academic study of religion as a historical and contemporary phenomenon. MF’s Study of Religion faculty are leading experts in their respective subfields.

You choose between an Asian Religions track, an Islam track, and our Maverick track. The latter track caters for the independent-minded student.

General requirements
- Applicants for this programme must have a bachelor degree in Christian theology or equivalent to be eligible for admission.
- A Bachelor's degree (or a period of study comparable with a Norwegian Bachelor's degree from a recognized Higher Education institution) in Theology or Religious Studies, with an average grade equivalent to Norwegian C level (British Second class, upper division).
- A minimum of 80 ECTS must be in Christian theology. General admission requirements (except proficiency in Norwegian). Applicants who complete a bachelor degree before July 1st can apply, but the application will not be considered before the completed degree is documented with a diploma and transcript of records.
- All applicants must document their proficiency in English.
