Overview

The Exercise Science for Health and Performance programme from Niagara College Canada advances your undergraduate degree with targeted theory and practical coursework. Placement opportunities support your preparation for industry credentialling. You will gain knowledge and skills in areas of counselling, assessing and prescribing tailored exercise programmes for athletes, as well as individuals managing various chronic health conditions.

Hands-on learning opportunities within programme dedicated Fitness Assessment and Resistance lab spaces. Labs equipped with equipment to test high performance athletes and clinical populations.
Two field placements to gain experience working with athletic and clinical populations.
Gain the knowledge and skills to challenge a variety of industry certifications such as the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology Clinical Exercise Physiologist exam (CSEP-CEP). The CSEP-CEP is the highest level of industry certification in Canada.
Graduates may also pursue certifications such as the CSEP High Performance Specialization, CSEP Certified Personal Trainer, NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach and COKO Registered Kinesiologist.

Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Human Kinetics, Kinesiology or Physical Education. Applicants who have studied outside of these fields, may be considered on an individual basis. AND
Proof of English proficiency

Minimum 256GB SSD storage and 8 GB memory (note that 16 GB memory is strongly recommended).
An integrated or peripheral video camera, microphone, and speaker system.
