The Museum Studies program from Central European University (CEU) combines opportunities for experiential learning at Europe’s leading museums with both foundational course work in the history and theory of museums and the multidisciplinary study of the past. The program provides students with the skills, experience, and professional knowledge needed in today’s museum. This English- language program will prepare students for a wide range of careers in museums and memory institutions across the world.

Program structure
- Learning at the Museum - All students will take three courses taught by staff of the Wien Museum, with a focus on the practical and theoretical work in museums today.
- Learning at the University - The program combines practical training with CEU’s signature student experience, offering research driven and public-facing university education to a new generation of museum workers.
- Working at the Museum - Students will hold two internships during the course of the degree program.
