Overview

The Advanced Materials Science and Engineering (AMASE) programme offered by Technical University of Leoben  is divided into two phases: the Adaptation Phase and the Specialisation Phase. 

During the Adaptation Phase (1st semester), you will cover core modules such as:

• Fundamentals of material structure and properties

• Analysis and characterization of materials

• Materials technologies and processing

• In the subsequent Specialization Phase (2nd and 3rd semesters), you can focus on one of four cutting-edge fields:

• Advanced metallic materials and alloys

• Polymers and composite materials

• Smart surfaces and functional materials

• Advanced manufacturing and processing technologies

• Additionally, modules in transversal skills provide essential interdisciplinary competences. The program concludes with a Master’s thesis..
