The mission of International Relations at Government College University Faisalabad is to impart quality education to the students who are committed to theoretical and practical underpinnings of the International Relations. The endeavor is to inculcate better academic standards through quality training in research and education for the needs of the society.

Introduction

Established in 2021 as an independent department within the faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Department of Defence and Strategic Studies at Government College University Faisalabad is one of the best departments in its field in Pakistan. The department offers four year Programs of Bachelor of international Relations and Defence and Strategic Studies along with M.Phil and PhD programmes in International Relations.

The department provides a forward looking and progressive academic environment to students as well as faculty which is engaged in quality research and teaching. The department encourages debate and provides various forums for it. The academic year is filled with an active schedule of Conferences, Workshops and Seminars.

General requirements

The candidates must have passed MA/MSc or BS 4-years (minimum 130 credit hours) or equivalent degree in the relevant field from HEC recognized institution with at least 50%marks (Under Annual System) or 2.50 CGPA (Under Semester System) for admission to MS/MPhil programs.

The MPhil candidate have to clear University admission test (60% qualifying marks) or GRE/HAT General or equivalent conducted by HEC with 50% qualifying marks.

The respective Dean/Incharge Faculty will supervise the test and interview as part of admission process.
Candidates working in the Government/Semi Government or Private Institutions shall have to submit “No Objection Certificate” from the concerned organization.
