Overview

The MSc Accounting and Finance at Westford University College in partnership with Abertay University is designed in conjunction with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). The MSc Accounting and Finance (CIMA Gateway) is designed to offer a postgraduate level study of the theory, knowledge, analytical and practical skills required for understanding the implications of decision-making within organisations.

Overview

In this program, learners will be exposed to a thorough and contemporary knowledge of the accounting and financial processes of an organization and the ability to forward plan and effectively manage risk. It will provide learners with a knowledge of environmental challenges and trends, the opportunities and constraints these create and how it impacts organizational decision-making and resource allocation. The MSc in Accounting and Finance will further aid in the development of key skills associated with employment in high-performance organizations. It will foster lifelong learning and employability skills to enable preparation for a future career in accounting and finance.

Upon completion of the program learners will have developed an integrated understanding of a range of subjects relevant to international accounting and finance. The knowledge, understanding and skills developed will enable graduates to understand the key issues about strategic decision-making within the business and provide essential knowledge for the success of global organizations.
