On the MA Screenwriting at London Film School, you don’t just study writing, you live it. Based in central London, at the heart of the UK film and TV industry, you’ll be surrounded by the energy, connections, and opportunities that shape film and television today.

You’ll be supported, challenged, and pushed to sharpen your unique voice as you write for screen. Along the way, you’ll build real-world skills and industry insight – and start forming the relationships that can launch your career.

At the core of the course is your feature screenplay, developed in a small, focused group with expert guidance. You’ll share work, give and receive feedback, and take your idea from first spark to multiple polished drafts.

Alongside this, you’ll dive into screenwriting craft, explore writing for TV, and take part in hands-on workshops. You’ll learn how to pitch and sell your ideas with confidence – because great writing deserves to be seen.

As your creativity grows, you’ll reflect on your progress through a Work & Research Journal, strengthening both your voice and your process. In addition to the feature screenplay, students have opportunities to write short screenplays and to develop a television series and pilot. More importantly, you’ll leave with the skills, confidence, and network to take your next step in the industry.
