At The University of Notre Dame Australia, every research student is guided and advised by a member of staff who is a leader in their field. The coursework component of the degree consists of four compulsory research-related subjects. These study modules will develop your competencies in critical analysis and scholarly writing, as well as provide ample opportunity for you to formulate substantial elements of the intended research.

For the program's research component, you will undertake a research project that significantly contributes to the medical field. The thesis will comprise the standard elements: an abstract, background and literature review, methods, results, discussion and conclusion. Similarly, the research dissertation will be based on a manuscript accepted for publication and comprises a literature review and findings.
