Programme focus

The programme combines core management foundations with an international business perspective, covering areas such as strategy, finance, marketing, operations, innovation, leadership and geopolitics. It also addresses some of today’s most in-demand business skills, including digital transformation, innovation management, entrepreneurship, AI and data analytics.

Learning is practical and interactive, with business cases, group projects, company exposure and a strong focus on leadership development and personal skills.

Learning experience

Participants join a multicultural cohort and can tailor part of their MBA experience through electives and applied projects. The flexible structure allows them to study full-time or part-time, on campus in Trieste or online.

Career prospects

MBA graduates can pursue careers in international business, consulting, general management, marketing, operations, business development, innovation and project management.

The Career Service supports participants from the beginning of the programme through coaching, CV and interview preparation, recruiting events and connections with the School’s corporate network. The programme reports a 95% placement rate within 6 months after graduation.

Programme Structure

The MBA in International Business is a 60 ECTS programme structured around five core areas:

Fundamentals 9 ECTS Finance, accounting, quantitative methods and financial mathematics
Business Management 17 ECTS Strategy, corporate finance, operations, digital transformation, ESG, management control, supply chain and research methods
International Business 8 ECTS Global marketing, international business context, operations and geopolitical scenarios
Business Innovation 9 ECTS New product and service development, venture planning, machine learning and business analytics
Leadership Dynamics & Accountability 4.5 ECTS Soft skills, leadership development and personal effectiveness

The programme includes at least 8.5 ECTS of electives and a 4 ECTS final dissertation.

Electives include topics such as Agile Strategy, Creativity at Work, Crypto Economics, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing and Doing Business in Central and Eastern Europe, among others.

The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.

Funding

Tuition waivers are applied directly to the tuition fee and awarded by the Admissions Board based on academic and professional background, motivation, leadership potential and selection results.

Funding varies by format:

Full-time in-person MBA: merit-based tuition waivers from 20% to 70%
Part-time / online MBA: tuition waivers generally from 20% to 30%
Full-time in-person MBA: selected corporate scholarships covering up to 100% of the tuition fee

Current full corporate scholarships include the Fincantieri S.p.A. Full Scholarship, for female candidates with a STEM degree, and the SEE Observatory Full Scholarship, for candidates from Albania, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia.
