Programme Structure

IT & Security: This track offers advanced studies in computer science and engineering, with core areas like distributed systems, embedded systems, and medical engineering. Students can further specialize in IT security or algorithmics, and explore fields such as robotics, engineering, and leadership to tailor their education to personal interests.

Smart Manufacturing: Focused on developing technical expertise in manufacturing, this track covers applications in medical engineering, robotics, and Industry 4.0. Students can specialize in IIoT, AI, predictive maintenance, and digital twins, all aimed at optimizing manufacturing systems. The curriculum prepares students to design solutions that improve efficiency and support digital transformation, readying them to lead in a rapidly evolving manufacturing landscape.

Both tracks equip graduates with strong, adaptable skills to meet the demands of advanced technology industries.

Audience

To succeed the study course IT Engineering, students benefit from a foundation in programming, basic math, and data analysis. General requirements

International applicants without a German higher education entrance qualification will first need to go through Germany’s international student application service uni-assist. There, grades and certifications from your education system will be converted to the German grading scale. We advise that you allow several weeks of time for this process. Furthermore, please note that your application at FH Wedel cannot be considered without the certification from uni-assist. Our master's programme IT Engineering requires a certain proficiency in English. A B2 level (CEFR, Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment) is obligatory.

The immediate admission criterion for our master's programme IT Engineering is a bachelor's degree in a related field with a GPA of 2.99 or better.
