Structure of the course

The Intelligent Manufacturing at Clausthal University of Technology is divided into four semesters and comprises two areas of study. In the first three semesters, you will complete in-depth courses in production engineering and the fundamentals of information technology. 

In addition, project-based courses will teach interdisciplinary and methodological skills for addressing problems and research questions in the field of intelligent manufacturing. Starting in the second semester, you can choose one of two specializations, which include a series of elective courses to deepen your knowledge of product and process design, as well as manufacturing analytics and optimization. The master's thesis is part of the fourth semester and can be written in cooperation with a company.
