These include ethical issues as well as topics in behavioural and cognitive biology, neuroscience, as well as research questions in the fields of animal welfare, animal husbandry, psychology and philosophy of science.
The programme is offered by the Messerli Research Institute in cooperation with the Institute of Animal Welfare Science, the Domestication Lab as well as the clinics and other Units of the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, and the University of Vienna.

A requirement for admission to the Interdisciplinary Master's Programme in Human-Animal Interaction is completion of a relevant degree programme at a university or a university of applied sciences with a workload of at least 180 ECTS credit points. Relevant degree programmes are all studies in the area of human and natural sciences.
