Key Features
- There are options for profession specific pathways through the programme, which may be clinical, managerial or more generic, and guidance on module choices is offered by the programme team. Our postgraduate students are from multi-professional backgrounds and we encourage interprofessional learning and education.
- Students who register for the MSc Advanced Practice in Healthcare programme at the University of Liverpool can exit the programme if they are unable to achieve the 180 credits required for the full MSc Advanced Practice in Healthcare award. The exit points are at Postgraduate Certificate (PGC) (a student must successfully complete 60 credits at M level, with not more than 15 credits at level 6 and no dissertation credit) and Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) (PGD - a student must successfully complete 120 credits at M level, with not more than 30 credits at level 6 and no dissertation credits).
- The MSc programme must be completed within 6 years from the date of first registration, and to exit with a PGD and PGC the maximum period of registration on the MSc Advanced Practice in Healthcare programme is 4 and 3 years respectively.

General requirements
- Normal entry requirements for UK applicants is a 2:2 Honours degree in a health or social care related subject from an accepted UK University or other Institute of Higher Education; or its international equivalent, as recognised by NARIC and/or by the University’s International Recruitment Office. Applications from candidates with an appropriate health or social care professional qualification, who have at least two years of post-qualification professional practice experience, are also eligible to apply. Accreditation of prior learning may be considered to a maximum of a third of the credits for the award.
