Overview
The Master's programme gives you a broad knowledge in Biomedical Engineering. The profiles within the programme relate to our fields of expertise: Medical imaging and Signal processing and Biomechanics. Our courses are taught at the University Hospital in Umeå by engaged researchers who are internationally active within the field of Biomedical Engineering, as well as by hospital engineers and physicians.
Key Facts
During the Biomedical Engineering programme at Umea University, you will combine theory with practical skills. The lectures are given by skilled researchers and professionals (hospital engineers and physicians).
You will perform practical laboratory work situated in the hospital environment and take part in projects where you work with data from our ongoing research. You will discuss relevant topics in the form of seminars. You will also meet medical professionals during study visits at the hospital's different clinics.
