What you can expect
The People Management programme at the University of Cape Town is specially designed to bring together academic study with the actual work that human resources practitioners perform. Students are required to apply what they learn in the classroom to their places of work. To assist with this integration, each student is assigned an academic mentor‚ a work mentor and a research supervisor.

General requirements
- An Honours degree in Human Resources or Organisational Psychology / Industrial Psychology
- A minimum of three years’ work experience in the field of human resources.
- To qualify for selection into the programme applicants should have an average mark of 65% for their Honours degree. At the discretion of the Head of Section‚ applicants who do not have an Honours degree in these fields or the required mark in the Honours degree‚ but have at least five years of work experience in the field of human resources may receive recognition of prior learning. Such candidates may be required to write specialised admission tests.
