Overview
At Bioengineering from Izmir Institute of Technology the main aim of the department, which currently has 6 faculty members; is to host high-impact researches in the main fields of bioengineering such as biomaterials, biomechanics, bioinstrumentation, biosensors, cellular and molecular engineering, pharmaceutical technologies, bioinformatics and synthetic biology, and to train expert manpower in these fields.
Mission
After the academic qualifications were achieved, the faculty members of the department started to educate students [BSc in Bioengineering, MSc in Bioengineering, and PhD in Bioengineering (jointly with Dokuz Eylül University Institute of Health Sciences)]. Within the Bioengineering Department; many young graduates who have completed their undergraduate studies in Bioengineering, Biology, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer or Software Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, etc. are continuing their master and doctoral education.Programme Structure
