Overview
The School of Economics, Qingdao University was established in 2000. Its predecessor was the Department of Finance and Monetary Economics, established in 1992.
The School of Economics consists of six academic departments at present, Department of Economics, Department of Public Finance, Department of Finance, Department of Insurance, Department of Statistics, and Department of International Economy & Trade, offering seven undergraduate majors, Economics, Finance, Finance Engineering, Public Finance, Insurance, Economic Statistics and International Economics & Trade.
Key Features
We offer 3 doctorate programs, Applied Economics (1st level discipline), Financial Engineering and Risk Management (discipline field), and Complexity of Economic and Financial Systems (discipline field), in the School of Economics.
The economics discipline offers two Level 1 mastery degrees: theoretical economics and applied economics, including 2nd level disciplines such as Finance (including Insurance), Public Finance, Regional Economics, Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Industrial Economics, International Trade, Population Resources and Environmental Economics, Western Economics, World Economics, Political Economics, as well as tree professional master programs, one of them being Finance, thus completing the academic structure.
