Excellent faculty structure at National Ilan University: The department of Horticulture has 11 full-time faculty with doctoral degrees; 4 professors, 5 associate professors, and 2 assistant professors . Teaching and research expertise covers various fields of horticulture.

Strengthening practical teaching: The department attaches great importance to the combination of teaching and practical experience. Each core course is matched with practical / experimental courses to improve students' practical operation ability.
Close communication with local industries: The department's expertise cooperates with the development of local industries. Teachers serve as the director-general of the Agricultural Promotion Association and professors of the Agricultural Promotion Association, etc., to establish a good relationship with local industries.
Frequent international exchanges: The department actively exchanges and cooperates with sister schools in Japan, Thailand and mainland China, and has exchange students. Faculty and students of the department actively attend various international seminars.
