Overview
Data Analysis from University Utara Malaysia (UUM) implements a holistic approach in data analysis by including both quantitative and qualitative aspects, plus variety of methods through hands-on approach.
This programme will produce data analyst who is capable of analysing a diversity of data that is very much needed in the industries specifically in research and development (R&D). Quality research findings triggered the innovation and this is important to become a developed nation by 2020.Students at Data Analysis from University Utara Malaysia (UUM) will:
- be capable of analysing quantitative data (numerical)and qualitative (text, narrative & visual)
gain the knowledge, skills and creativity in data analysis and solving problems
be competent in conducting research
gain ability to effectively express ideas verbally and in written form.

General requirements
- a bachelor’s degree with Honours from Universiti Utara Malaysia or any other institutions of higher learning recognised by the University Senate with a CGPA of at least 2.75; or
- a bachelor’s degree from Universiti Utara Malaysia or any other institutions of higher learning recognised by the University Senate with a CGPA of 2.00 to 2.74 and relevant work experience; or
- a diploma from any institutions of higher learning recognised by the University Senate with at least ten (10) years of relevant work experience, 35 years or older and passed APEL assessment (level 7); or
- any other equivalent qualifications recognised by the University Senate; and
- fulfil the English language requirement as set by the University Senate.
