In their first semester, students take alignment modules, taking into account their previous education, in those areas in which they have not yet gained sufficient familiarity. Considering the subject breadth, first semester also provides students with battery-specific basic knowledge and initial interdisciplinary in-depth knowledge in the areas of battery system technology, battery materials, and electrochemistry.

A degree in a bachelor’s programme in the subject areas of Engineering Science, Environmental & Resource Technology, Materials Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering & Information System Technology, Chemistry or Physics at the University of Bayreuth, or an equivalent degree from another university
