Overview

Through three individual specializations, prospective students can obtain technology-related qualifications in a highly interdisciplinary Master's program: "Smart Factory", "Additive Manufacturing" and "E-Mobility Production".

As a Smart Production Engineering graduate from RWTH Aachen University you will

Study Track: Smart Factory

Building "Smart Factories" means networking all plants, products, and processes in a self-organizing factory. This is a central component of "Industry 4.0" and will be used in numerous sectors such as chemistry, automotive, and electrical engineering. Within these smart production processes, qualified graduates play an essential role: they act as problem solvers, experience bearers and decision-makers.

Study Track: Additive Manufacturing

"Additive Manufacturing" processes play an important role in product development and production. There is a high level of industrial, intersectional and international significance attached to Additive Manufacturing processes, leading to a high demand for qualified personnel in production technology.

Study Track: E-Mobility Production

The electrification of propulsion systems has developed into a global trend, which extends from container ships and aircrafts to the automotive industry. The challenges and opportunities of E-Mobility are very diverse: with mechanical engineering as one of the key players in technological change, suppliers and manufacturers will need skilled engineers with interdisciplinary expertise in the interface of e-mobility.
