Overview

Students in the Environmental Sciences program of The University of Lahore will learn to analyse data from air, food, soil, water, and other sources to propose evidence-based solutions. The programme emphasises developing expertise in critical environmental issues while focusing on interdisciplinary approaches to sustainable problem-solving.

With a curriculum crafted to meet contemporary challenges, the programme includes core courses such as Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation, Strategic Environmental Assessment, Environmental Analytical Techniques, Challenges and Solutions of SDGs, and Research Methods in Environmental Sciences. You will have the option to undertake a research thesis in your final semesters or complete additional coursework in place of a thesis, providing flexibility in academic progression. Over 20 elective courses allow you to align your studies with your interests.

16 years of schooling or 4-year education (minimum 120 credit hours) after HSSC/ FSc/ICS/DAE/ Grade 12 or equivalent in science shall be required for admission in the MPhil-Environmental Sciences with minimum 2.00/4.00 CGPA in semester system or 2nd division/ 45% marks in an annual system in his/her most recent degree in the relevant discipline.
Relevant disciplines: Environmental Sciences, Natural Sciences, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Atmospheric Sciences, Earth Sciences, Forestry, Engineering and Health Sciences
UOL entry test / GRE/HAT General/equivalent test and interview are mandatory.
