The research and curriculum emphasize the study of Mass Communication, information management and new technologies, media history, and research methodologies.

The overall objective of the Media and Mass Communication (Research Track) program of The University of Lahore is to give deeper and critical insights into developments in the field and make students qualified for independent and advanced work inside and outside of media organizations.

16 years of education, in a relevant field, preference will be given to candidates having a BS, MA or MSc in Mass Communication and professionals working in the media industry with a CGPA of 2.5 / 4.0 or a minimum of 50% marks.
