Learning outcomes

Objectives of the Electrical Engineering course at the International Islamic University Islamabad include:

Engineering Knowledge – Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
Problem Analysis – Identify, formulate, research literature and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.
Design/Development of Solutions – Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design systems, components or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
Investigation – Conduct investigation into complex problems using research based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions.
Modern Tool Usage – Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modelling, to complex engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations.

General requirements

BE/BS Engineering (Electrical / Electronics /Computer / Telecom or any other related field) with minimum CGPA 2.50/4.00 in semester system or 60% marks in annual system. PEC registration is mandatory.

International students:

Application fee (US $75); attach copy of deposit slip / challan or Bank Draft or Pay Order with application form favoring IIU Islamabad
Passport size photographs with blue background
Copy of Passport Residential Permit (Eqama), Overseas ID card, NOC of /o Foreign Affairs or Your Embassy in Pakistan
Three copies of duly filled government of Pakistani Permission form (Students’ Information Sheet)
Verified educational documents (all degree/certificates)
Valid Passport / Valid Study Visa
