Double degree
The Energy Efficiency and Sustainability program from the University of A Coruña offers the possibility of obtaining a double degree with the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança-Portugal (IPB): “Master in energy use and sustainability” from the UDC and “Master´s Degree in Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency” from the IPB. To obtain the double degree, it is necessary to take part of the credits at the UDC and the other part at the IPB.
Study program competences:
- Carry out energy policies
- Investment analyses
- Management of projects based on energy efficiency or renewable energies from a sustainable point of view.
- Energy audits and certifications
- Analysis and design of harvesting systems with multiple technologies
- Application of current legislation and regulations applicable to the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector.
Graduates will be able to:
- Advise, guide, and offer optimal solutions to optimize resources and achieve efficiency and energy use in each sector.
- Evaluate the application of emerging technologies in the field of energy and the environment under the criteria such as efficiency, sustainability, or cooperation.
- Continue their research training and carry out a Ph.D.
Collaborating companies and institutions- There are educational collaboration agreements with more than 80 companies including: Alcoa, Endesa, Ferrovial, Gamesa, Gas Natural SDG S.A., Navantia, Red Eléctrica, Reganosa, Generación S.A. among others.
Recommended profile
Although it is not essential to have a specific degree to access the Master’s degree, some skills are considered especially appropriate to pursue these studies, such as those acquired in the Bachelor’s degrees in the Engineering and Architecture branch, studies related to environmental sciences and sciences in general, as well as in the old degrees of Engineering and Technical Engineering, Architecture and Technical Architecture and science-related degrees.
