Overview
The Electrical and Communication Engineering course at Muroran Institute of Technology we train talented individuals who are equipped with the following skills: specialized abilities related to the generation, supply and effective use of electrical energy; specialized abilities related to the signal processing and communication systems required for communication methods and information transmission; specialized abilities related to the control technology required for robots and production technology; specialized abilities related to electronic device technology essential for electronic materials and integrated circuit manufacturing technology; specialized abilities related to measurement technology that utilizes optical and electromagnetic phenomena and quantum effects; and specialized abilities to utilize methods of information processing and intelligent information.

Therefore, the course curriculum involves systematically acquiring knowledge from the basics in electrical energy engineering, communications engineering, control engineering, measurement engineering, electronic device engineering, electromagnetic wave engineering, optoelectronics, electromagnetic energy engineering, and quantum engineering.
While deepening understanding of basic subjects common to all majors, students also develop problem-solving skills in the field of electrical and electronic engineering by taking applied subjects within the course.
Furthermore, students can broaden their scope of application by taking subjects from other courses, cultivating the ability to solve diverse problems that span multiple fields.
