Overview
Learners will develop both critical research skills in biopharmaceutical science and indepth understanding of the quality processes involved in the manufacture of biopharmaceuticals products.
The Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing programme the Atlantic Technological University will be delivered using a blended learning approach. Based on the input from industry, the programme design team have placed a strong emphasis on work-based learning and the year long long research project will be carried out in the company in which you work or should this not be possible ATU will make every effort to facilitate a project within an applied research centre in GMIT.
The MSc in Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing will develop in-depth knowledge of biologics manufacturing and skills relevant to the biopharmaceutical sector through the delivery of a suite of modules,including: Advanced Biopharmaceutical Science, Bioprocessing Technology, Validation for Biopharmaceuticals, Design and Analysis of Experiments and Six Sigma Management. A choice of elective will be offered from the following: Biopharmaceutical Science, Immunology, Immunotherapeutics and Vaccine Technology, Biopharmaceutical Facilities, and Machine Learning & Vision
