Overview
The Postgraduate Certificate in Existential Psychotherapy (PGCEP) from Regent's University London constitutes your final year of training and leads to professional registration as an existential psychotherapist through the Society for Existential Analysis of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
You will learn how to employ a philosophical approach to explore and embrace the complexity of human existence. This phenomenological practice nurtures enquiry, radical openness, and a fresh gaze upon the world and human beings.
Experiential encounter exercises are underpinned by rigorous academic study. This combined approach will encourage you to reach beyond your cognitive and rational understanding of human existence in order to develop a more embodied therapeutic practice. It will prepare you with the skills and knowledge to connect with others in their ambiguity and complexity, and together begin a relational process of deep exploration.
