This International Relations and Globalization (Thesis) degree offered by the Ozyegin University aims to provide preparation and equipment at the most advanced international standards for researcher, educator, and practitioner roles.

Today, political, economic, environmental, and health-related problems emerging on a global scale necessitate new approaches that require multi-level thinking by establishing local, national, and global connections in problem-solving in all areas of public life. At the same time, it requires interdisciplinary approaches, including disciplines such as politics, economics, sociology, and psychology. The International Relations and Globalization Master's program will enable you to understand how local, national, and international institutions deal with global problems, to acquire theoretical and empirical equipment to evaluate developing problems, to understand the best examples of governance and communication in the world, to analyze empirical data-based research and policy-making, and to gain reasoning skills.

Due to the multidimensional nature of global governance, the program also covers international relations, public policies, political theories, political economy, and sociology from a multidisciplinary perspective. The program offers an ideal education leading to a professional career for those who want to work in international, national, and regional institutions, public and non-governmental organizations, and private companies addressing global problems, in addition to an academic career.

The faculty members of Özyeğin University Department of International Relations consist of respected scientists who are active in their fields and have active research programs in the most prominent international organizations and institutions. IRG master's program offers its students the opportunity to get involved in these research projects and gain experience.

In applications to the program, priority will be given to candidates who have the desire and potential to work in these research programs. Although Özyeğin University provides various scholarship opportunities, candidates are also advised to apply for Tübitak (2210) and similar scholarships. These scholarships are considered an indicator of the candidate's academic potential.

For international prospective students who studied abroad, necessary applications for the recognition of their diplomas will be submitted to the Recognition Unit by our University.

Transcripts issued by all higher education institutions the applicant has so far attended or graduated from, showing all of the courses taken and grades achieved at the respective institutions.

At least two letters of reference. Letters of reference must be obtained preferably from the prospective student’s professors and/or previous/current employer.

Letter written by the prospective student to explain his/her personal or professional goals.

Duly certified copies of the pages from the passport that bear the photograph and identity information. The original copy of the passport must be presented at the time of application.
