Overview
We train future clinicians to implement a wide range of evidence-based practices consistent with ethical and professional standards.
During the first year of Clinical Psychology at SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanitiesyou will receive intensive theoretical education and study introduction to clinical treatment. You will gain extensive knowledge of child and adult psychopathology and acquire basic skills related to psychotherapy, assessment, and clinical research.
During the second year, the majority of modules are dedicated to the psychotherapeutic process and to developing practical clinical skills such as working with adults with behavioral addictions, families and groups. You will also write your Master’s thesis and complete a 100-hour psychological practice that includes clinical training.

Graduates of our Clinical Psychology Programme may pursue many professional opportunities and career paths. Depending on their specialization and professional certification, alumni can build successful careers in clinical psychology, psychotherapy, social work, counseling, behavior analysis (especially in the area of developmental disabilities), neuropsychology, educational/ academic psychology, cross-cultural consultations, and life coaching.

- Completed bachelor’s diploma with transcript (translated into English or Polish if issued in another language).
- Language proficiency certificate at CEFR B2 (or higher if required by program) for instruction language; some can take a language exam instead.
- Medical insurance or proof of enrollment in Poland’s National Health Fund.
- Diploma recognition by Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) if your diploma was issued outside EU/EFTA/OECD/China/Ukraine/UK and you don’t have IB/EB diploma (Admissions Office can assist).
- Entrance exam/interview or portfolio, when required (for applicants with diplomas from certain countries and specific programs).
- Student visa is required for many non‑EU/OECD/China/Ukraine/UK candidates; check embassy rules.
