Overview

Master in Building Information Modelling is offered by University of Minho and Universty of Ljubljana. The BIM A+ programme has a duration of one academic year (60 ECTS credits) and is held on both University of Minho and University of Ljubljana.

Key Facts

For the academic year 2025/2026, Coursework (October – March) occurs simultaneously at the University of Ljubljana and the University of Minho, with the students being able to take the first semester at either of these two locations. The elaboration of Dissertation (April – September) can also be performed in any of these two institutions. The Master combines the diversity of expertise at leading European universities in the relevant fields, offering education oriented to a multidisciplinary understanding of virtual construction.

The degree awarded is a Master’s degree, provided as an independent degree from each of the two institutions involved in Coursework and Dissertation for each student, as follows:

Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or equivalent qualifications. Students are expected to have a higher education degree with a minimum of a Bachelor degree with 240 ECTS (typically equivalent to a 4 years Bachelor);
letter of motivation between 1500 and 3500 characters (spaces included);
detailed Curriculum Vitae in European format (see instructions here);
certificates and diplomas from previous universities studies;
transcripts of records including grades and course syllabus from previous university studies;
certificates of relevant work experience and other professional certificates, if any;
two recommendation letters (sent by the recommender directly through the application portal);
