Overview
The Department of Mathematics, Hokkaido University have been contributing to the development of society through mathematics, such as organizing research meetings of various sizes – from seminars and study sessions to international symposiums, and consistently publishing mathematical magazines which are available at universities and research institutes in Japan and overseas since 1930.

This includes programs for our students to study abroad and accepting more than 100 researchers annually from overseas.
