Objectives

Applied Ecohydrology at University of Algarve focuses on finding and implementing solutions that ensure the sustainability of the uses and good ecological status of water and aquatic ecosystems, by merging ecohydrology with water engineering and integrated water management.

The MAEH graduates will have the holistic perspective and technical knowledge needed for solving the complex and multifactorial problems of water security and aquatic ecosystems sustainability, now and in the future.

The Erasmus Mundus master program in Applied Ecohydrology merges the skills and expertise of four European Universities and cooperates closely with UNESCO experts, companies and institutions in water science.

The MAEH is scientifically supported by UNESCO Ecohydrology Programme of the Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme, that has been developing the concept of ecohydrology for more than 20 years.

Declaration on honor that it meets the conditions required

Document proving the completion of Portuguese secondary education or equivalent, or the necessary and sufficient qualification for access to higher education in the country of origin, duly certified by the competent authorities

Document proving the classification obtained

Proof of language proficiency in the language of instruction

The candidate will have to prove, by means of a certificate, the domain independent of the language in which the course is taught, under the terms foreseen for levels B1 and B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
