Overview
Various aspects of energy such as Energy Scenario, Environmental Impact of Energy Systems, Energy Conversion and Conservations, Renewable Sources of Energy, Green Power, Energy Audit and Management, Carbon Credit etc. are covered in the syllabus. Students are also offered specialization courses in Solar Energy Technologies, Wind Energy Technology, Energy Audit and Management, Waste Heat Recovery, Data Analytics, Energy Storage etc.
The relevant laboratory experiments are also carried out at the School of Energy Studies with hands-on exposure at Thermax Limited. The alumni of the M.Tech. Energy Technology course at Savitribai Phule Pune University are well placed in leading energy industries in India as well as overseas or joined government organizations. Many of the alumni engage themselves as entrepreneurs in their own startups in the field of energy.
