General requirements

An appropriate bachelor honours degree, or an appropriate Postgraduate Diploma, or a 480 credit bachelor's degree with a minimum of 96 credits at NQF level 8 in Communication with an average of 60%. A student who is admitted on the strength of a BTech degree may be required to complete (for non-degree purposes - and with an average of 60%) COM4801 and COM4802 if the proposed topic for the MA studies relates to Media Studies OR COM4806 and COM4807 if the proposed topic for the MA studies relates to Organisational Communication before he/she will be allowed to register for the research proposal (MPCHS92).
