General requirements
- A completed bachelor honours degree or an appropriate postgraduate diploma or a 480 credit bachelor's degree in gender related discipline with an average pass mark of 60% or above.
- Selection will be done by means of a research statement which all students have to submit upon application. Statements will be assessed by the lecturers and supervisors in the Institute of Gender Studies and students will be admitted if they have submitted a viable research statement as well as on the basis of capacity for supervision within the Institute.
- Applicants must submit a transcript or an academic record, as well as a document describing their intended research.
