General requirements
- You should normally have a lower second-class (2.2) undergraduate honours degree or above.
- Your qualification should be in a physics- chemistry- or engineering-based subject. Other degrees will be considered on an individual basis but you are generally expected to have a significant physics, chemistry or engineering background. If you are interested in the physics stream you should have taken a module in quantum mechanics. You may also be considered for the course if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing.
