Overview

Students of the Molecular Biology and Biotechnology program from United Arab Emirates University are required to complete 24 credit hours of coursework in addition to 6 credit hours assigned to research and a completion of a M.Sc. thesis.

• The coursework includes 2 credit hours of College of Science requirements (Ethics, Research Methods), 12 credit hours of 4 core Molecular Biology and Biotechnology courses in addition to 10 credit hours of intercollege (College of Science and College of Medicine and Health Sciences) elective courses that allows the student to specialize in any specific topic related to Molecular Biology and/or Biotechnology. 
• Students can take up to 6 credit hours of elective courses offered by the CMHS. Student progress is overseen by a research supervisor (and co-supervisors) and a thesis defense committee. The program is a fee-based program open for all students who meet the entry requirements.
