Overview
Mission
To develop and train future pharmacologists in the field of gas trointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine, neuro, in flammo and ethnopharmacology by providing evidence-based curriculum, lab facilities and enabling learning environment.
Pharmacology is an essential element of Pharmaceutical sciences (Pharmacy), Medicine, Dentistry and allied health care disciplines. Department of Pharmacology was established as an independent entity in 2014 under the umbrella of Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
This discipline also covers Physiology, Pathology, Anatomy and Histology to understand physiological, anatomical description of the body and the pathophysiological basis of diseases for rationale drug classifications, therapeutic uses, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, adverse effects and important drug-drug interactions.
Department of Pharmacology at Government College University Faisalabad is aimed to promote conducive learning environment, team work culture, ethical behavior and interdisciplinary research approach to address complex health related issues.

General requirements
- The candidates must have passed MA/MSc or BS 4-years (minimum 130 credit hours) or equivalent degree in the relevant field from HEC recognized institution with at least 50%marks (Under Annual System) or 2.50 CGPA (Under Semester System) for admission to MS/MPhil programs.
- The MPhil candidate have to clear University admission test (60% qualifying marks) or GRE/HAT General or equivalent conducted by HEC with 50% qualifying marks.
- The respective Dean/Incharge Faculty will supervise the test and interview as part of admission process.
- Candidates working in the Government/Semi Government or Private Institutions shall have to submit “No Objection Certificate” from the concerned organization.
