Overview

The Information Technology program from King Abdulaziz University is flexible and allows students to gain in-depth and extensive knowledge in the field of information technology. The program includes the basic courses in addition to a specific field of specialization.

The basic programs are selected to provide an expansion in the field of information technology. In order to deepen study, the program includes four tracks: The first one is in the field of Technology Management (TM), the second one is in the field of Internet Technology (In T), the third one is in the field of Networks Security (NS), and the fourth one is in the field of Advanced Information Technology (AIT).

Tracks

Technology Management track provides an in-depth study about the strategic management of information technology systems in organization’s environment. Internet Technology track offers in-depth knowledge in internet technology and applications. Networks Security offers depth in designing and spreading developed security techniques within the infrastructure of computer network throughout the organization.

Advanced Information Technology track enables students to study the academic courses in all tracks. In order to complete the Master program, a student must conduct research in one of the fields of information technology and related majors. The master thesis must be of a satisfying level of originality and academic integrity.

Specialization required: Information Technology or Information Systems or Management Information Systems or Computer Science. Software Engineering from Computer Colleges. Computer Engineering or Communication Engineering from Engineering Colleges
Required GPA: Very Good
Employer's approval: Required
Criteria are as follow:

Cumulative average of 50%.
Test for university graduates 40%.
The degree of specialization of the applicant is 10%.
