Overview

Space Science (Research) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia provides a focus on the solar-terrestrial interactions (e.g., magnetic reconnections, solar flare, geomagnetic storm, and ionospheric storm), and the tools required for forecasting the space weather and for the earthquake precursor. Our research programs have strong collaborations with government agencies as well as international and local institutions.

Key facts

Work closely with institute or faculty members who supervise independent research in multi-discipline field.
Participate in lab-based or field research in climate change and space science related field; life cycle assessment, environmental engineering and footprinting, air quality & pollution, wastewater treatment, Carbon Footprint, biomass burning emission & transport, urban climate & pollution, environmental issues, geospatial data analysis, plasma bubbles, signal scintillation, antenna design, solar flare detection system, HF propagation & GPS, satellite data analysis and astrobiology.
Participate in projects of modelling impacts of climate change and space science related.

Bachelor’s Degree by obtaining a good Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) from a University or any institution of higher learning recognized by the Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA) and/ or having accreditation recognized by foreign Accreditation Body, or institution who has accreditation as prescribed by a programme;
Doctor of Medicine degree or Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University or any institution of higher learning or an equivalent degree from any institution of higher learning recognized by the Senate;
any other requirements recognized by the Senate obtained through the Accreditation pf Prior Experiential Learning (APEL);
fulfils other requirements prescribed by the programme (if applicable); and
fulfils requirements of the Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA)
