Generally, the Master of Medicine in Radiology offered at the School of Medical Sciences from University Sains Malaysia is organised based on multidisciplinary and integrated organ system with problem-based learning approach, which is a unique approach in USM. The curriculum focuses on the aspect of accepting patients as a whole in term of individual, family and community.
The aim is to create awareness on full medical responsibilities with regards to the development of better understanding in health care and continuous medical education. The concept of competent radiologists upon graduation, which is adopted by the school, should have adequate knowledge and skill to enable them to solve problems related to individual and community

General requirements
- Candidate MUST possess Medical Degree, such as MBBS, MD, MBChB or equivalent qualification accepted by the University Senate and is registered with the Malaysian Medical Council [MMC]
- Candidate MUST also possess at least 2 years experience after graduation, either in hospitals or other institutions certified and accepted by the University Senate
- Local candidates are also required to attend a pre-test/interview before the final selection
- Foreign candidates are required to go through a 3 to 6 months clinical attachment and assessment at the respective department prior admission
- Candidate MUST also in good physical and mental condition
