Did you know that UKZN is the only institution in KwaZulu-Natal that offers a programme which allows you to get the ”hands-on” experience of learning about the science of speech.

Key Features

Our students in the Speech-Language Therapy programme from University of Kwazulu Natal run support groups for children and adults with disability in the Valley of 1000 Hills area: here students are working in a transdisciplinary team to stimulate gross and fine motor skills as well as language and listening skills in a group of young adults with disability.

Programme Structure

The School of Health Sciences offers a wide range of academic programmes that qualify competent health professionals in the above disciplines. We are committed to ensuring that our graduates leave as caring and responsible health professionals.

Our curricula and teaching methods and approaches are being continuously updated to make sure that we keep up with the new advances of a rapidly changing world, especially in health profession education.
