Objectives of the Construction and Project Management MScEng programme from University of Peradeniya are wide and diverese.
To enhance the capabilities of the participants in the areas of:
- project planning, scheduling and monitoring;
- contract strategy, legal & administration framework;
- marketing and value engineering;
- human and financial resources management;
- cost, time, quality, safety, environmental and risk management of projects;
- construction technology related to managing projects; and
- research in the areas of engineering construction and project management

- Four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with First or Second Class Honours or
- Four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with postgraduate qualifications acceptable to the Faculty Higher Degrees Committee or
- Other qualification equivalent to four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering as may be approved by the Faculty Higher Degrees Committee with a minimum of one year’s experience in a field related to the programme of study after obtaining the Degree or such qualification
