About the Course
The Peace and Conflict Studies program of the University of Peshawar is planned to establish focus of individual scholars having background of diverse fields in social science and Humanities into the field of Peace & Conflict Studies. This is a multi-disciplinary degree program intend to train scholars in their respective fields with Positive Peace lenses.
It offers the conjectural foundations that emboss the essential social psychological routes involved in understanding and managing conflicts at all levels: interpersonal, intergroup, organizational, and international.
The master program offered in Peace and Conflict Studies in 13 universities of Pakistan gives its degree the title of “MSc” not “MA” with the same logic. Peace and Conflict Studies is established globally in Post-World War II scenario to dig out logical reason with grounded theories, why we experience, produce and consume violence? The basic theorem is how societies in the past have addressed the conflicting issues peacefully? Application of contemporary scientific methods could help us resolve our future conflicts and address peacebuilding in our society at large.

- Admission will be offered purely on the basis of merit and merit for all the programmes will be determined on the basis of Bachelor marks
- Candidates on waiting list must sign the attendance sheet in the concerned Departments/Centre/Institute within the specified dates, otherwise admission will not be offered
- Hafiz-e-Quran & Disabled applicants must bring admission form acknowledgement receipt at the time of appearing in respective test/interview on respective dates
- Admission forms received by post/mail or after due date will not be entertained
- The University reserves the right to withdraw any programme OR to modify the rules governing the programmes OR to make necessary amendments in the programmes OR courses of studies where deemed necessary
