Overview
In 1986 the Landscape Architecture program of the Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University was established at the College of Architecture and Planning.
Objectives:
- To prepare students with the skills necessary to make an original contribution in the field of Landscape Architecture.
- To create and maintain an academic working environment, which fosters enthusiasm, generates intellectual vitality and encourages and tests new ideas.
- To include areas of study which will recognize local urban and natural area issues and address regional environmental problems.
Programme Structure

- Elective courses credits: 12 Hours
- Graduation Thesis or Project: 6 Hours

General requirements
- Applicants should either be citizens of Saudi Arabia or if they are not citizens, they must have been awarded an official postgraduate scholarship.
- Applicants should have a degree from a Saudi university or from an accredited university from outside the Kingdom.
- Students must exhibit proper conduct, behavior and be medically fit.
- Applicants must provide two letters of recommendation from professors who have taught them.
- If the applicant is employed, he must provide an approval from his supervisor.
- The applicant must have received an overall grade of ‘very good’ during the course of their Bachelor degree program.
- The applicant must pass the English language test.
- Bachelor’s degree in the same field GPA must not be less than Good (3.25 from 5 or 2.25 from 4).
- Pass the English test IELTS (5) degree or its equivalent.
