Overview
The period of childhood is one in which children undergo many profound physiologic changes. Specific care has to be offered to them in order to promote and maintain their health. The philosophy of family centered care recognizes the family as the constant in a child’s life. Therefore, the Clinical Nursing Science - Pediatric Nursing program of the Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University focuses on family centered care of children in health and illness in primary, secondary and tertiary care settings.
About the Program
The program of study consists of the required courses in addition to the clinical research project. Students are expected to complete four semesters with 42 credit hours (core courses (10 credits), specialty and elective courses (28 credits), clinical research project (4 credits) and 650 hours training in the area of specialization.
