Overview
About the Program
Health care is undergoing dramatic changes and at a speed that makes it almost impossible to remain current and proactive. The chaos and multiple challenges facing health care providers and consumers are evident in surgery where new treatment modalities and technologies interface with a continued drive for quality and positive outcomes. Therefore, the medical surgical care nurses practice in an environment that demands the integration of high-level cognitive, psychomotor and problem-solving skills in order to provide safe and efficient quality care.
The main purpose of the Clinical Nursing - Medical Surgical Nursing program of the Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University is to prepare registered nurses for advanced practice, as educators and for leadership positions in health care. In addition, studying at the MSN level develops clinical competence and increased sophistication in applying a theoretical framework for the nursing practice.
